Concrete Clean Base

Clean Concrete Slab, also known as Clean Concrete Layer or Plain Concrete, is an unreinforced concrete layer poured over the foundation soil before casting the structural concrete for foundations or other building elements. The primary goal of this layer is to provide a clean, level working surface, improve load distribution, and ensure the stability of the soil beneath the foundations.

This concrete consists of a simple mix of cement, sand, gravel, and water, typically with lower mix ratios compared to structural concrete, as it does not require high strength. It is poured to a thickness typically ranging from 5 to 10 cm and helps protect foundations from contamination and moisture that could affect the durability of the structural concrete.

The clean concrete slab is easy to pour and level and acts as a barrier preventing direct contact between the soil and the foundations, reducing the likelihood of harmful organic materials or salts seeping into the structural concrete. It is also used to define the dimensions of the foundations and prepare the site for construction, contributing to better accuracy in execution and facilitating work on-site.
